What is bouldering?
Bouldering is ropeless climbing, at heights under 20 feet. The walls at NOBL range from 12’-14’6” with 12”-14” padded foam flooring beneath.
What equipment do I need?
The only technical piece of equipment needed is a pair of rock climbing shoes. A good pair of climbing shoes can run between $75-$125 and are available for purchase at the gym, or you can simply rent a pair for $4/day. Gear is free to NOBL members.
What should I wear and/or bring?
Climbing requires dynamic movement, so make sure to wear something comfortable that allows full range of motion. Please bring a water bottle so you can use the water machine without creating any waste!
Who can climb?
ANYONE can climb! No prior experience is needed to try bouldering. NOBL offers a complete orientation on your first visit and has classes available for new climbers who want to learn more. There are programs and options for any and every age. For children age 15 and under, adult supervision is required at all times unless explicitly stated otherwise.
