DESK STAFF/FLOOR ATTENDANT

The Desk Staff/Floor Attendant is someone who is very hands-on by nature and a problem solver.  The ideal candidate is someone who has a passion for having fun and connecting with the community, whether it be guests or members.  This person is also someone who is fanatical about youth sports & fitness and is eager to share that obsession with the local climbing community.

The ideal candidate will be a front-line representative for NOBL. The front desk and floor attendant is the facilitator of the greater New Orleans community entering our facility by welcoming and interacting with all guests and upholding NOBL standards in creating a safe space.

EXPECTATIONS:

  • Work cross-departmentally, within the facility and with fellow staff.
  • Promote facility and company-wide initiatives.
  • Create a unique climbing and community experience for all guests.
  • Interact with and work to build relationships with guests and members.
  • Ensure professional conduct as an employee of NOBL, acting as a positive representative of NOBL.
  • Be proactive in making improvements to the space.
  • Be communicative with direct supervisor and coworkers.
  • This position is supervised by the Director of Operations.

ALWAYS MAINTAIN:

  • A positive and upbeat attitude.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Up to date First Aid/CPR/AED.
  • A love for climbing or other outdoor activities is a plus, but not necessarily a must.
  • Energy, excitement, care, courage, and decisiveness.
  • Inspiration by setting and achieving tough, demanding goals and by continually raising the bar.
  • An open and direct demeanor while remaining approachable in personal style and supervision.

COMPENSATION:

TURTLES CLUB TEAM COACH

The Turtles Club Team is an opportunity for students between the ages of 7-12 to climb in a recreational atmosphere with kids who want to have a good time climbing with friends and advance their skills under the guidance of a coach.

NOBL seeks a coach who enjoys climbing, is connected to the community, and has experience working with children.

The Club Team meets on Wednesdays from 4-5:30pm & Saturdays from 9-10:30am.

As the Turtles Club Coach, you will:
– Discover new ways to lead, motivate, and inspire your students
– Provide instruction, encouragement, corrections, and information to youth
– Manage and prevent the inherent risks involved with climbing
– Arrive at the gym in time to receive youth and remain until the end when all youth have been connected with guardians

The ideal candidate will be/have:
– Passionate about rock climbing and youth in particular
– Highly organized and comfortable recording and tracking information and data
– Strong moral character and unquestioned integrity
– A positive attitude and proven ability to work collaboratively with students, other coaches, staff, etc
– Communication skills that are positive and effective in interpersonal relationships
– Excellent time management skills
– Climbing experience with an understanding of climbing movement and skills
– Experience working with youth in a teaching/instruction capacity

Compensation:
– $12/hour
